This industrial style kitchen in the suburb of Northcote is quite unique.
To begin with, the kitchen area was extended by one metre and a new window added to create more natural light.
The owners also decided to incorporate existing exposed brickwork – creating a fantastic design feature.
The overall renovation combines textured charcoal two-pack paint, white-gloss overhead cupboards, a crisp-white Quantum Quartz benchtop and recycled timber.
The bench stretches across two walls, with a sink tucked in on one side and a standout personalised glass splashback on the other.
It’s a wonderful feature. The photo is a subtle but highly effective black-and-white digi-print of the family on the beach at Phillip Island.
Another terrific aspect of this kitchen design is the timber used on the island bench. Sourced locally, it’s an exceptional piece that exudes character.
The corners feature finger joints, which add another layer of detail and enhance the overall industrial-inspired design.
The combined warmth of the exposed brick, natural timber and family imagery offsets the industrial features, and makes this kitchen a contemporary delight.

This was our first time renovating, so it’s fair to say there was a little bit of trepidation on our part. But our experience was very positive and we’re thrilled with our new kitchen.
A complete kitchen renovation was performed with as little disruption as possible to our household. Having had plenty of work done around the house over the years, I recognise and appreciate quality work, and Rosemount provide that in abundance. They’re also terrific people to deal with.
I just love this kitchen. It’s worked out perfectly. We had a builder working on the rest of the house and he couldn’t believe how well the kitchen was made and put in, and the after sales service from Rosemount was fantastic.
People love the kitchen, and are blown away with the transformation. And for me it’s not just beautiful, every part is so functional.
The quality of the build cannot be faulted and the level of service we have experienced from Rosemount has been exceptionally good. Everyone we spoke to over the phone and those that visited our house were a delight to deal with.
Rosemount were by far the best of the trades we dealt with in our whole renovation, and continue to be. And we had a great kitchen designer who was clearly excited about doing something a bit different and edgier. He really brought some of my ideas in the kitchen to life.
We’re thrilled with how the kitchen renovation has turned out. It’s gone from the darkest to the lightest room in the house. It looks so beautiful and I just love it.
We have referred loads of people to Rosemount. They weren’t the cheapest company but for me it’s about the quality of the product. You get what you pay for.
