For this superb renovation in Warrandyte, our clients wanted to create a feeling of space and openness – bringing the outdoors inside – while maintaining the footprint of the existing kitchen.
There were design challenges to overcome, thanks to some load bearing walls that couldn’t be removed. But we were able to deliver a new space that completely transformed the kitchen’s look and feel.
The previous kitchen had been solid timber with a heavy, dark wood grain. It seemed small and cramped, with poor storage and a tight cooking and preparation area.
To make the space feel more open and less cluttered, we square-set the room and came up with a clever design that meant the renovated kitchen would not require overhead cabinetry.
And this is vital in creating the sense of openness and clean space that our clients requested.
In place of overhead cabinets, we chose a feature tile for the whole back wall. Although the kitchen is mainly white, this white patterned tile adds beautiful texture and depth to the room.
No two kitchen renovations are the same, and in this case our client’s preference was for cabinetry with handles. To continue the uncluttered look, we designed a way for the handles to blend in with the cabinets.
We powder-coated handles to create a “semi-handleless” look.
The clients love the way handles work for everyday use. They are practical yet don’t detract from the streamlined look we were aiming for.
The Neolith island benchtop is a beautiful centrepiece.
Our clients wanted a marble look, but without the care and maintenance that natural marble requires.
Neolith offers a beautiful marble appearance with excellent durability and ease of care. With its fabulous looks and silky textured finish, the island has become the hub of the kitchen, perfect for sitting around with family and friends.

We’re thrilled with how the kitchen renovation has turned out. It’s gone from the darkest to the lightest room in the house. It looks so beautiful and I just love it.
A complete kitchen renovation was performed with as little disruption as possible to our household. Having had plenty of work done around the house over the years, I recognise and appreciate quality work, and Rosemount provide that in abundance. They’re also terrific people to deal with.
I just love this kitchen. It’s worked out perfectly. We had a builder working on the rest of the house and he couldn’t believe how well the kitchen was made and put in, and the after sales service from Rosemount was fantastic.
Rosemount made this an easy and mostly seamless undertaking for us and the results are significantly better than we anticipated. To say we are delighted with our new kitchen is a gross understatement. It is just sensational.
Rosemount were by far the best of the trades we dealt with in our whole renovation, and continue to be. And we had a great kitchen designer who was clearly excited about doing something a bit different and edgier. He really brought some of my ideas in the kitchen to life.
Rosemount is a premium product and they should be very proud of the results they produce. Our neighbours walked in and just went ‘wow’. And that wow factor is the difference.
We have referred loads of people to Rosemount. They weren’t the cheapest company but for me it’s about the quality of the product. You get what you pay for.
People love the kitchen, and are blown away with the transformation. And for me it’s not just beautiful, every part is so functional.
