The design features in this kitchen renovation in Wantirna, in the city’s east, create a fantastic balance of form and function.
The Caesarstone sleek concrete island – finished in a timeless grey satin – stands out beautifully against Vivid White cabinetry and a bronze mirrored splashback.
Drawers are great for creating extra storage but can sometimes compromise the kitchen’s look.
So on this occasion, our kitchen designer went to great lengths to produce clean aesthetically pleasing lines throughout; from powder coated handles that matched the cabinetry to handleless Blum tip-on drawers on the back of the island.
The resulting look and feel is in stark contrast to the blackwood cabinetry that was the centrepiece of a kitchen installed more than 30 years ago.
Better storage was a key requirement of the new kitchen.
The owner didn’t cook as much as she would like because of having to constantly bend down into hard-to-reach cupboards. Many of her dishes were also packed away in a separate buffet and dresser.
The reconfigured design allows easy access to everything the owner needs, all conveniently stored in the new kitchen.
Cooking is now a joy, and she still can’t believe how a kitchen as clean and sleek as this contains so much “hidden” storage space.

A complete kitchen renovation was performed with as little disruption as possible to our household. Having had plenty of work done around the house over the years, I recognise and appreciate quality work, and Rosemount provide that in abundance. They’re also terrific people to deal with.
The quality of the build cannot be faulted and the level of service we have experienced from Rosemount has been exceptionally good. Everyone we spoke to over the phone and those that visited our house were a delight to deal with.
Rosemount were by far the best of the trades we dealt with in our whole renovation, and continue to be. And we had a great kitchen designer who was clearly excited about doing something a bit different and edgier. He really brought some of my ideas in the kitchen to life.
Rosemount’s service was outstanding from start to finish. We love our new kitchen and couldn’t be happier with the experience we had. I would highly recommend Rosemount without hesitation.
We have referred loads of people to Rosemount. They weren’t the cheapest company but for me it’s about the quality of the product. You get what you pay for.
This was our first time renovating, so it’s fair to say there was a little bit of trepidation on our part. But our experience was very positive and we’re thrilled with our new kitchen.
I just love this kitchen. It’s worked out perfectly. We had a builder working on the rest of the house and he couldn’t believe how well the kitchen was made and put in, and the after sales service from Rosemount was fantastic.
Rosemount made this an easy and mostly seamless undertaking for us and the results are significantly better than we anticipated. To say we are delighted with our new kitchen is a gross understatement. It is just sensational.
