White is not one colour – the many shades of white
Keep in mind that there are multitudes of different shades of white. Whether you want your kitchen to be as white as snow, a pearly ivory or something else, the key is to understand the undertones of the white that you choose.
Your white may have undertones of pink, yellow, grey or blue. These tones are affected by the quality of light in your home (both natural light and electric) as well as surrounding colours.
For example, a red feature wall that’s visible from the kitchen will enhance any pink undertones while blue walls or carpet will bring out any grey or blue tones.

Matt v high-gloss finishes
Your choice of surfaces and finishes will also affect how your white colour palette appears. A matt finish and a high-gloss white surface have very different effects and impacts.
It’s not even just a case of choosing between matt or gloss as there are also different levels of gloss available. Or for sheen without too much shine, a satin finish may be best for your home.
The kitchen designers at Rosemount can help you navigate these kinds of considerations to ensure you’ll be delighted with your new kitchen (whether it be white or otherwise).

Embellishing with colour and texture will ensure that an all-white kitchen doesn’t come across as clinical, unwelcoming or boring.

With today’s modern surfaces and finishes, keeping a white kitchen clean and fresh is much easier than it used to be. Often all that’s needed is a quick wipe and it’s as good as new. Surfaces with a gloss finish are particularly easy to clean.
Likewise, advances in technology and materials have also resulted in greater durability and longevity for surfaces and finishes, which means your white kitchen will look pristine for years to come. Whether you plan on living in your home for many years or are thinking of selling, these days a white kitchen will definitely stand the test of time.
Rosemount were by far the best of the trades we dealt with in our whole renovation, and continue to be. And we had a great kitchen designer who was clearly excited about doing something a bit different and edgier. He really brought some of my ideas in the kitchen to life.
The quality of the build cannot be faulted and the level of service we have experienced from Rosemount has been exceptionally good. Everyone we spoke to over the phone and those that visited our house were a delight to deal with.

We’re thrilled with how the kitchen renovation has turned out. It’s gone from the darkest to the lightest room in the house. It looks so beautiful and I just love it.
Rosemount is a premium product and they should be very proud of the results they produce. Our neighbours walked in and just went ‘wow’. And that wow factor is the difference.
Rosemount made this an easy and mostly seamless undertaking for us and the results are significantly better than we anticipated. To say we are delighted with our new kitchen is a gross understatement. It is just sensational.

Our decision to contract Rosemount resulted in a high end result, within budget and on time. The company’s wonderful team had the expertise, experience and dedication to guide the project from start to finish making the renovation a great experience and not a burden.
I’m sure we could have done our reno cheaper (although we did have a more expensive quote), but we couldn’t have done it better or had a smoother trouble free experience with such great trades and final result.
A complete kitchen renovation was performed with as little disruption as possible to our household. Having had plenty of work done around the house over the years, I recognise and appreciate quality work, and Rosemount provide that in abundance. They’re also terrific people to deal with.
We have referred loads of people to Rosemount. They weren’t the cheapest company but for me it’s about the quality of the product. You get what you pay for.
Our designer was just fantastic. He wanted our kitchen to come to fruition as much as we did.
